Jamie is the owner of Hue Avenue Salon. Her passion for hair started by braiding her teammates hair for games as early as ten years old. Hair continued to be her niche throughout high school- she gained experience through doing hair for prom season, sports, styling the cheer team and even the occasional wedding for some extra cash. She decided to pursue her undeniable love for the beauty industry and started cosmetology school immediately after graduating high school at The Salon Professional Academy in Rapid City, South Dakota. She started her career in the heart of Down Town Rapid City, where she spent many long nights. A couple years behind the chair as a licensed cosmetologist, she felt called back to her hometown of Sturgis to open up Hue Avenue Salon.

Hello there! My name is Jamie Munger and I was born and raised in Sturgis, South Dakota. My greatest passion in life has always been creating art. This is why I spend most of my free time at sip and paints, plying with makeup, and decorating my room when I’m not beind the salon chair. I have six sisters and one brother, so naturally someone had to become the family hairstylist.

I am a sucker for any blonding services. This is why a LOT of my portfolio is comprised of blondes. I also enjoy all lived in natural colors and hair health.
